VitalSix’s corporate innovation and corporate venture programmes
The benefits for everyone of collaboration between corporates and small and medium sized businesses is well documented.
Corporates innovate more quickly by working with qualified scale up companies with great ideas: Smaller businesses can fast track access to new markets when partnering with a corporate to extend their proposition.
Corporates invest in new ideas through direct investment, mentoring and business skills training
These relationships are not easy to start or manage;
- corporates need innovation but don’t know how or where to find new ideas in an effective and efficient way
- smaller businesses are concerned about long drawn out projects that are a drain on scarce resources
confidentiality, ownership of resulting intellectual property and the contracting process are all potential barriers to successful relationships
For the last few years VitalSix has been pivotal in successfully managing open/collaborative innovation projects with a number of corporates to enable joint development to rapidly build new products and services. We also work with corporates that invest in new ideas and support and train the management teams to be better able to scale up their businesses
